Carol Feghali-Bostwick, PhD

Carol Feghali-Bostwick, PhDCarol Feghali-Bostwick, PhD is assistant professor of medicine in the Simmons Center for Interstitial Lung Disease. Dr. Feghali-Bostwick received her PhD in microbiology at Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh, Department of Medicine, Division of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology.

Dr. Feghali-Bostwick has received numerous honors and awards for her accomplishments in research, and has written over 36 publications. She is the recipient of several research grants, including the Dalsemer Research Scholar Award from the American Lung Association for “Increased IGFBP-4 in Pulmonary Fibrosis and its Effect on Lung Fibroblasts”. She serves as the principal investigator on this grant, and the goals of this project are to identify the role of IGFBP-4 in the development of pulmonary fibroblasts by examining the effect of IGFBP-4 on primary fibroblasts and on the production of extracellular matrix.
